I Farted in an Online Meeting and I Forgot to Mute My Microphone

Chill, it’s only a clickbait title. I didn’t do that, and I hope I wouldn’t.

This year, still amidst the pandemic, brought me into some big decisions. I stepped on my first semester of the Master’s program in Applied English Linguistics. Besides that, I hopped onto a new industry, e-commerce, after being 2.5 years in education technology.

I don’t say that these decisions are mandatory for those who want to pursue the same path as I did. I believe there is someone with an irrelevant academic background who does much better in their job. I also believe that it is not necessary to work in a unicorn startup to be considered an ‘expert’. It is also not necessary to switch to a new industry to get more variation in your experience.

I only took steps that I consider impactful for me, and I don’t force people to take them too!
